BLUMA PROJECT PAPER AFRICAN BEADS
Oooh I love my Bluma Project beads that I got for A SONG on sale at Steven Alan also can be found at ABC home. The sesi bracelets and necklaces are from Rwanda and are made of wood and hand-made paper beads and printed African fabric beads. The shades of the sea are perfect for this time of year and the browns go with all my neutral favorites.

FEED 5
FEED THE HUNGRY CHILDREN
I have always loved the FEED bags, totes, and pouches - not just for the good they do but stylistically simple and rough, I actually love the look. I've been reluctant to splurge on the over $100 totes simply made of burlap, even knowing how many mouths the purchase would feed.
Enter this adorable pouch.
For every zipper pouch and its companion adorable corn-based bead and silver medallion bracelet purchased, 5 school meals will be provided through the UN World Food Programme (WFP). Now that's design I can get behindI purchased mine at one of my favorite stores Tenet - on Main Street downtown Southampton who carry a few of the FEED products but you can get them here:

The Tenet Shop gal gave Scout one of the FEED bears which came with a little story book about feeding hungry children - cuddly and educational. perfect. The Heal the Ocean Bracelet I have teamed it with is from my dear friend and divine artist Jes Maharry.

SHOPPING THAT HELPS OTHERS
OOOh I just love that my bin diving; my goodwill hunting; and the purchasing of these handsome, chic and trendy bags all help others. Of course the divine, unique designs of these little treasures by Dutzi, purchased 40% off of the 50% off original price, at one of my favorite shops, Steven Alan, help inspire me to part with my helpful dollars.

Dutzi Design Project was created by Ariane Dutzi, a former fashion editor who lived in New York and Paris before moving to the Yucatan. Inspired by her philosophy, that business is about more than making money, she created Dutzi to help Mayan women to make some money on their own. Each woman is her own boss and gets paid per bag she makes enabling them to help their family and their community. And I get to carry my fab suede leather tarzan-esque burlap bags on our budget adventure to Paris, London and Faro with Holly....a win win.
